The fund seeks long-term capital appreciation by investing at least 80% of its net assets in equity securities issued by U.S. mid-capitalization companies that the management team believes possess above-average earnings growth potential, with mid-cap generally defined as companies with market capitalizations comparable to those in the Russell Midcap® Growth Index at the time of purchase. In addition to its primary focus on common stock, the fund may also invest in preferred stock, convertible securities, and other equity instruments, with top sector exposures including Technology, Industrials, Communication Services, Consumer Cyclical, and Financial Services.
