Silkwave Inc (0471.HK), listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange Main Board since October 2005, is an investment holding company headquartered in Hong Kong and incorporated in the Cayman Islands, primarily engaged in the development and promotion of Convergent Mobile Multimedia Broadcasting (CMMB)-based multimedia and interactive services. The company operates through two core segments: the CMMB Business, which focuses on the transmission and broadcasting of television programs via proprietary terrestrial infrastructure including UHF spectrum TV stations across major U.S. cities, and the Trading Business, which handles the procurement and distribution of printed circuit board (PCB) materials, broadcast and media production equipment, and AI- and IoT-related hardware and software solutions. Formerly known as CMMB Vision Holdings Limited, the company rebranded to Silkwave Inc in August 2022 and serves a diverse customer base including LPTV programmers, electronic manufacturers, and satellite communication enterprises across mainland China, the United States, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. With a lean workforce of approximately 17–18 employees and a market capitalisation of around HK$17 million, Silkwave Inc also provides satellite infotainment multimedia technology and services for connected vehicles and maritime applications.
