Beng Kuang Marine Limited (SGX: BEZ) is a Singapore-headquartered investment holding company incorporated in 1994 and listed on the SGX Mainboard since October 2004, specialising in infrastructure engineering and corrosion prevention services for the marine, offshore, and oil & gas industries across Singapore, Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and other international markets. Under the strategic leadership of CEO Yong Jiunn Run, appointed in June 2021, the Group has undergone a significant business transformation, shifting from a traditional shipbuilding and repair model to an asset-light, service-driven approach centred on its two core divisions: Infrastructure Engineering (IE) and Corrosion Prevention (CP). The IE division focuses on high-value asset integrity solutions for floating production assets such as FPSOs and FSOs, encompassing offshore construction, turnkey project management, life extension and conversion projects, and the supply of customised deck equipment, while the CP division provides comprehensive surface preparation and protective coating services including abrasive blasting, paint application, thermal spray coating, and the supply of related industrial hardware. This strategic repositioning has driven compound revenue growth of approximately 22% over five years, enabling the Group to achieve sustainable profitability with a current market capitalisation of approximately SGD 104.5 million and a workforce of around 709 employees.
